Baby Dance

Exciting ~ I just found out I am going to be a grandmother! Am I excited? You bet! My daughter who we have the whole big shaboom wedding planned in April is expecting. I am sure she will still fit into her dress, just might be a little snug. Her and her fiance have been together for 9 years. So sometime this fall I will be welcoming my first grandchild.

So much to do ~ I got a zillion ideas in my head for quilt patterns, and baby items. This Grandma is going to get a jump start. I think I will start with a pure-eyelet white baby quilt. It does get chilly here in FL that time of the year.  Oh so much to think about and get ready for.

This will start a brand new chapter into my husband and I's life and we are ready for it. I am so thankful I am alive and present to be able to see my grandchildren.

Monday ~

So here we are at Monday again! Might I add a bit chilly here in FL for the Sunshine State. 

My weekend was slow but enjoyable. Did I mention my oldest daughter is getting married in April? Well she is and we are kinda flipping this together in a short time frame because my mother is so ill with cancer. So today I will spend the day trying to fix the puffy fluffy flouncy slip that she ripped while trying it on and just be thankful it was not the wedding dress.

I am really excited for this wedding but disappointed that I didn't have enough time to save for it. Which in turn means my divorced parents are stepping in to help and adding their TWO CENTS at every step of the way. Sigh! I just need to grin and bare it and hope it doesn't make my husband to depressed. He is not OK with not being able to pay for the whole deal and my father is not making it easy with his snide remarks and my mother insisting the r.s.v.p. go back to her. Is it May yet? I will get through this with a smile on my face, as I don't want the day ruined for my daughter.

I was also able to take advantage of the sale at Joanne's fabric and score the borders for my quilt. I am very anxious to finish this and put it on my bed. The one currently on my bed is ripped and needs to be replaced. I was just getting back into quilting again when I made and although it came out gorgeous, I used to big of a stitch sewing it together hence it not staying together.

Well not much activity today... I awoke with a sore throat and not feeling well ... I will however push myself and sit on the bed and try and stitch that slip and of course make dinner for my husband (he works so hard). I hate that cancer robbed me of my ability to work full time. I am glad the cancer is gone and I am alive but I wish I could go back to my previous profession which was a legal secretary and help here in the house. Disability checks work, but my paychecks use to be more. 

I am sure God has a plan for us and I just need to be patient and let God do his thing.

Dream a little

So if you could, what would you?

I would like to be out on our boat today ~ but the winds are high and the water would be rough for our little boat. Really looking forward to the boating season. It is within REACH, I feel it!

I am sitting here watching the trees blow and thinking what a gorgeous day it is here in FL. I am so lucky not to be in the bitter cold and snow up north. I was raised up north, so I now what it can be like.

Do we take for granted the little things in life? I think some of us do ~ sometimes!

Well hello! I am back at it again ~ well I should say I use to blog all the time but then I Googled my name and was horrified that you could pull my entire life with the simple input of my name. So I stopped! I miss all the communications I had with different people from everywhere. I miss the fun stuff I use to post along with the rants. I valued blogger friends input and I found some really strong support along the way as well. I discovered some awesome recipes, found some that need my input and felt that I was able to help a few myself. 

So here I am back again but not under my own name! Hahaha ~ I think this is ok? I mean how many people really blog under their own WHOLE name. Not many, I am certain.

I am off for some visits to the sites I use to love. Hope to see you all here soon!
